Hello, I’m
Dr Renee
Based at Frances Perry House in Parkville Melbourne, I’m an obstetrician and gynaecologist passionate about supporting women’s health and the LGBTQIA+ community.
After specialist training across Melbourne’s major hospitals, I now focus on caring for people through all stages of pregnancy including high‑risk and multiple pregnancies.
Outside of work, I’m a fitness enthusiast who believes in the power of movement, nutrition, and balance for lifelong wellbeing.
Specialist training took me across all three tertiary centres in Melbourne — Monash Medical Centre, the Mercy Hospital for Women, and the Royal Women's Hospital in Parkville.
In 2009, I was awarded the prestigious Brown Craig Travelling Scholarship by RANZCOG. This honour enabled me to complete a year of subspecialty training as a Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellow in Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto. During this time, I gained further in-depth skills in fetal ultrasound and the management of complex pregnancies including twins, preterm labour, placental insufficiency, and maternal medical conditions. I also managed Sinai’s very busy high-risk obstetric labour ward while researching the management of twin pregnancy, placental insufficiency, and medication safety in pregnancy.
Where I started
I have been a private obstetrician and gynaecologist at Frances Perry House since 2011. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of caring for women and families through some of the most important moments of their lives. Alongside my clinical work, I serve on the hospital’s Medical Advisory Committee, contributing to standards of care, safety, and clinical excellence.
I also practise as a consultant obstetrician at Royal Women's Hospital, where I teach and mentor junior doctors and medical students. Supporting the next generation of clinicians is deeply important to me and keeps me connected to continual learning and growth.
My areas of interest and speciality include:
Pre-pregnancy counselling
Maternal medical conditions
Twin and multiple pregnancies
Complex and high risk pregnancies
Advocate of healthy, active pregnancies
Postnatal wellbeing
Pregnancy can bring excitement, questions, and sometimes uncertainty. My goal is to ensure you feel informed, confident, and genuinely cared for at every stage. I believe in clear communication, continuity of care, and creating a space where you feel comfortable asking anything — with a little humour along the way.
My practice and approach
Beyond the Clinic
Fitness and movement are genuine passions, supported by qualifications in Certificates III and IV in Fitness. I am excited to be able to provide practical guidance to help women move safely and maintain physical wellbeing throughout pregnancy.
I'm a devoted food lover and firm believer in the benefits of travel. But my favourite thing of all is time with my partner and our two sets of twin children.
